A DNA-precise health plan designed to help you live your best life. No matter your age, race, or gender, your genomic profile provides a guide for you and your clinician in the care of your body and mind.

What is Clinical Genomic Testing?

Most direct-to-consumer DNA tests and health reports are not medically comprehensive as they don’t tell the whole story. Our Functional Genomic Analysis testing provides your clinician with in-depth, evidence-based, science-focused genomic intelligence.
Using your results, your clinician will meet with you to discuss the risks and benefits within your genomic profile, and review potential prevention or intervention strategies to help you achieve optimal health and wellness.

How Does The Test Work?

Your clinician will initiate the process by ordering your kit and providing a login to your online portal.

When your test kit arrives in the mail, log into your portal to activate your kit barcode, and follow the instructions in the kit to collect your saliva sample.

Mail your kit (postage-free in the USA). We’ll send you an email as soon as your results are available.

Schedule an appointment with your clinician to discuss your results and begin the process of creating a personalized health plan based on the real you!

What Do IntellxxDNA™ Reports Show?

IntellxxDNA™ reports don’t make decisions for you. Instead, they provide unprecedented insight into your unique genetic make-up to assist your clinician in developing true, personalized care.

Your DNA contains variants, or SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms), that may signal potential benefits and risks that lie within your DNA. Our reports examine the complex interplay between these variants and how they can affect your quality of life.
We use evidence-based, well-researched potential intervention strategies – encompassing environment, lifestyle, nutrition, supplements, and medications – that will serve as a basis of discussion between you and your clinician.

Valencia Porter, MD

Hear from a patient about their IntellxxDNA experience

Valencia Porter, MD, Author of the best-selling “Resilient Health: How To Thrive In Our Toxic World”, tells of her IntellxxDNA™ experience:
My past attempts to look at these genetic factors using commonly used testing kits led me to little actionable information. It was like, “you have these genes that make you more likely to have Alzheimer’s Disease. And you have these genes that make you less likely to have Alzheimer’s disease. Now what?” Needless to say, I was not recommending these direct-to-consumer tests to my patients as they seemed to cause them more worry and confusion.
But now I’ve found a tool in IntellxxDNA that not only can provide information on your gene risks, but also what actions you can take to mitigate those risks. (This tool even gave some insight as to how I might respond to coronavirus infection!) I was already incorporating many of the actions needed to reduce my risks for many chronic diseases, and seeing the evidence further reinforced my positive actions. For instance, I was surprised to see that I have some genes that predispose me to obesity – but my lifestyle choices have been able to keep that at bay.
I truly believe that the use of this knowledge can be life-changing!

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are answers to frequently asked questions about IntellxxDNA tests ordered by a patient’s clinician.

Your DNA is not your destiny. Understanding your genomic profile empowers you to make intelligent health and wellness choices that may impact your future quality of life. IntellxxDNA™ reports focus on the health and wellness of the whole person, rather than on isolated disease states. Your clinician will review your genomic profile as one of several factors of consideration when making clinical decisions to help you achieve optimal health.
Unlike ancestry-based genomics, the field of medical genomics is complex, even for well-trained clinicians. IntellxxDNA™ provides clinicians with ongoing education to ensure that they have access to research-based, accurate information.
IntellxxDNA™ is not direct-to-consumer and is not covered by insurance at this time. The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 (GINA) prohibits insurance companies and employers with >15 employees from acquiring results of genetic tests. Group health insurance companies cannot use genetic information to deny coverage, establish pre-existing condition clauses, or change premiums. They also cannot require genetic testing.
IntellxxDNA™ provides a patient portal or “dashboard” that can be used to store the discussions of your genomics ― outside of your medical record. It will be up to you and your clinician to decide what information, if any, is included in your formal medical chart. Genetic information in medical records is subject to review by providers of life insurance, long-term care insurance, and disability insurance. If your IntellxxDNA™ report uncovers information that may be important to include in your health record, discuss the pros and cons with your licensed health care professional
